Breathtaking English Interiors

The World of Interiors magazine featured the breathtaking Ven House in their October 2011 issue.  Jasper Conran has been working on the reformation of Ven House with the help of his great friend Edward Hurst.  The magazine featured a fourteen-page feature interview which captured Jasper’s journey over the last four years.

If we had wanted strictly 18th century,’  says Jasper, ‘we would have ended up with a strange, uncomfortable building. I  wanted a country house that looked like it had been lived in – a home, but with  a quirky attitude to it.

Photo Feature – Set back from the busy A30 main road is Ven House, a Grade I Listed country house completed in c.1730 by Richard Grange for its owner James Medlycott. It was later altered and extended by Cubitt and Decimus Burton in 1836. Its present owner is the acclaimed British fashion designer Jasper Conran
